Our second day in Budapest, Hungary! It was a national holiday in memorial of the Revolution of 1848 in Hungary so there were lots of flags and celebrations! We went to Buda Castle which we thought might be closed for the holiday, but turns out it was free admission for the day! We also went to Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church which made for beautiful pictures. We came upon a political rally for the Hungarian opposition (the left) and I was so excited to get some merch and donate my remaining Hungarian coins to the cause. We did not get in to the rally but it was just as fun outside with the local supporters. I proudly wore my blue gear for the rest of the day. We ended our night by going to a few bars on the street we stayed on which was a lot of fun!
