We spent our first free weekend visiting Amsterdam! The Netherlands marked my 10th country! We took an early morning bus from Brussels, and checked into our first ever hostel in downtown Amsterdam. We actually really enjoyed it! We bought the Amsterdam city passes and had access to everything in the city with them. We started our time with a boat tour on the canals, then we walked around and took pictures, taking in the sites while we still had nice weather. We then visited the Anne Frank House where the Frank family hid from the Nazis for two years before being discovered. The museum was very well done and it was definitely an emotional experience. Afterwards we split up with the girls visiting the A'Dam lookout to see views of the city while the boys visited the Heineken Beer Museum and Experience.

The following day Josh and I walked around ourselves in the morning and got some souvenirs. I have been getting postcards, magnets, and Christmas Ornaments in every place that we visit. We met up with our friends for the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum while it was raining, which was great planning ahead on our part. Josh got to see his favorite painting in person at the Van Gogh Museum, and we all really enjoyed it. I am hoping to go back to Holland sometime in the nicer weather to see the tulips and windmills!
